Some deep-sea fisherman in Charleston, South Carolina pulled in their most expensive catch yet, by reeling in almost $1 million dollars worth of cocaine.

They spotted the package just floating in the water off the coast of Charleston.

WCSC-TV reports that some trash was around the bundle, along with a school of fishing jumping in and out of the water.

Originally the two fishermen did not think to fish out the package until they noticed that they were catching fish when they passed by it. Eventually, they brought the package onto their boat and opened it. Once they realized what they had pulled in they called the Coast Guard.

Police estimate that the 30-50 kilos of cocaine is worth somewhere between $750,000 to a million dollars.

Investigations are being conducted about where the illicit drugs came from.
