Officials in Nueces County say a record number of people have registered to vote in the November General Election.
According to the county, as of Tuesday’s registration deadline, a record 204,000 people have signed up to cast their ballots.
Registration numbers are up 2.5 percent, and the county says that with mail-in registration still on the way, the final number could still go up.
Nearly 199,000 people registered to vote in Nueces County in 2016.
