A George West High School graduate spent some time in-between her schooling to visit her alma mater and talk to students about her experiences working in aerospace engineering.
Morgan Miller graduated from George West ISD and is currently a Longhorn at the University of Texas at Austin. She has had the opportunity to work with The Boeing Company, Huntsville Alabama; NASA Johnson Space Center, Houston; and most recently, The Boeing Company, Long Beach, California.
She mostly spoke with students about the history of NASA, the purpose of NASA, and the possible expansion of NASA programs like Orien, Gateway, and Mars exploration, as well as associations with SpaceX and The Boeing Company.
According to a GWISD Facebook post, “While in high school, Morgan was a shining example of how you can be involved in a wide variety of activities while still balancing academic courses and remaining an incredibly strong GPA and achieving Valedictorian,” stated Robin Sellman, Director of Education Services. “It is inspiring to see how Morgan has developed into an articulate, confident young adult. It is inspiring and rewarding to see Morgan chase her dreams.”

She encouraged students to further their education and learn the importance of staying ahead in school. Being involved in school activities, volunteering, and developing speaking and leadership skills were major tenants of her encouragement for the high school kids.
