H-E-B is celebrating Women’s History Month by honoring female employees who have excelled in leadership.
The grocery chain today honored 31 women during the annual Women in the Workplace award ceremony at the Texas State Aquarium.
Today’s honorees were all nominated by their coworkers, and H-E-B says all of them have made a difference in their workplace and their community.
“It’s the little things that go unnoticed,” said Gina Sanchez, H-E-B spokesperson. “I know a story of a woman with distinction here who during Hurricane Harvey got a phone call when she was off that someone in Rockport needed food. She stopped what she was doing, got what they needed and delivered it to that customer”
The annual Women of Distinction program is in its 19th year.
