For about a year, the city of Corpus Christi has been working with the Miracle League to find the organization a location to call their own.

The Miracle League of Corpus Christi helps kids and adults with special needs enjoy sports. The group opened a field on the west side seven years ago for activities.

Turns out the Oso Recreation Center at 1111 Bernice Drive was a match.

October 2018, there will be a public meeting to discuss leasing the recreation center to the Miracle League.

If the Corpus Christi Parks and Recreation department receives enough positive feedback, the idea would be forwarded to city council for a possible vote.

If the proposed lease gets passed, one major change the park will is see the construction of an indoor basketball court.
