Summer break has begun but some kids will still be stopping by CCISD schools, taking part in the district’s Seamless Summer Program.

The Seamless Summer Program will be open for anyone from ages 1 to 18-years-old.

Campuses taking part will offer children breakfast and lunch at no cost.

Going hungry during the summer break is never fun for any child to experience and sometimes finding the funds to purchase food can be tough.

However, starting early June 2019, kids in the Coastal Bend will not have to worry about their summer meals.

“We all get hungry over the summer just as well as we do in the school year and many parents work in the summer and I know how hard it is to ensure that the food is there for your students while you might be at work”, says CCISD Food Services Director Jody Houston.

Summer 2019, the Corpus Christi Independent School District will once again sponsor the Seamless Summer Program.

This will be offered at about 30 different schools in Corpus Christi.

The program is government-funded and is open to all children in the community. This also includes folks that have never attended any CCISD schools. Click here for a complete list of CCISD schools participating.

Other schools districts around the Coastal Bend have their summer programs as well.
