Every Sunday at Artesian Park a group of volunteers set up for a family picnic to feed the homeless.

It’s coordinated by Tacos Not Bombs, a grassroots organization that started out giving tacos at City Hall. But because of the surplus of homeless gathering there, Tacos Not Bombs moved to Artesian Park and began providing full home-cooked meals.

Dozens of volunteers typically help each week. John Meza, coordinator for Tacos Not Bombs, says they never have to worry about not having enough food.

With this Sunday being Easter Sunday, Meza tells KRIS 6 there will be an Easter Bunny and Easter baskets, provided by a volunteer for the picnic for the homeless.
