Metro Ministries has helped many folks get back on their feet. However, the upcoming bus stop closures will have a definite impact on people who rely heavily on those busses for their commutes.

Metro Ministries CEO Patty Clark says she’s concerned about the safety and proximity of the new temporary bus stops during the construction phase.

“It’s going to be inconvenient and uncomfortable for everyone for quite a while,” says Clark.

The CCRTA is no stranger to bus stop closures because of the construction projects they had to make adjustments for.

“We have many throughout every day because of the many reconstruction street programs that are going on we do this a lot,” says CEO of the CCRTA Jorge Cruz-Aedo.

However, these closures will not affect the bus routes.

The two temporary stops will be set up but the RTA does not know just yet on where these stops will be or when they will go into service.

“But in the end, we have to do what’s best for the safety of our customers and the safety of traffic,” says Cruz-Aedo.

These stops on Leopard Street will close Monday, April 15th, 2019.
