Marion County, FLORIDA – A woman nearly drowns after plowing over a fire hydrant during a drunken joy ride.

This was what was left of a vehicle in Marion County, Florida.

Emergency crews say 22-year-old Alexandrea Runyon smashed into a fire hydrant causing water to spill out so fast; her car was swallowed into a water-filled hole.

The sinkhole was said to be eight-feet deep and 20-feet wide.

Some good Samaritans tried to help but the hole opened under. Fortunately, no one was hurt.

Crews were able to rescue Runyon and the woman who tried to help her.
