First, you will need to call the food bank and explain your situation.
Second, employees must show some type proof such as an identification card to show that you are a furloughed employee.
And lastly, you will need to fill out the necessary paperwork at the food bank.
The Coastal Bend Food Bank is encouraging the public to donate items as well saying every donation can make a big difference as the partial government shutdown continues.
