Corpus Christi police say the driver of a truck that was seen slamming into another car along Highway 361 and along S.P.I.D., will face additional charges.

In the video, which was uploaded on Facebook by Brittany Allan on Friday, shows a truck hitting a car while someone is talking to a 9-1-1- dispatcher.

Voices in the recording can be heard telling dispatchers the truck hit them and tried to run them off the road. One of those voices was Kyle Wagner.

“Why didn’t he just go around us like he did everybody else in the no passing zone,” Wagner asked.

In the post, Allan says police caught up to the truck’s driver, who she claims was cited for not having insurance.

The couple said the truck hit them four times.

Investigators looked into the video and say the driver of the truck will face an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge.

Lieutenant John Hooper, with the Corpus Christi Police Department, said, “We don’t want to make a bad arrest, we don’t want to make an arrest of an incident that occurred in another jurisdiction.”

Allan said, “I think we’re getting somewhere now, finally. The waiting is the hard part.”
