A Premont teenager is recovering in the hospital after being shot.
The Jim Wells County Sheriff’s Office tells KRIS 6 News that 14-year-old Trevor Martinez heard some noise outside of his house around 2:30 or 3 a.m. Wednesday morning.
When he went outside to the field behind his rural home to see what was going on, he was shot in the leg.
Martinez was taken by Halo flight to a hospital in the Rio Grande Valley. The Sheriff’s Office has no word on his condition.
The Sheriff’s Office has not made any arrests. They say they are looking for multiple suspects.
