10/25 updates:
7:30 p.m. - The City of Kingsville and Kleberg county have announced eight additional COVID-19 cases. Half of them impact children.
Kleberg County officials said the county's pandemic-wide total of COVID cases is 1,023.
Five individuals were removed from isolation, leaving the county's active case count to 43.
Testing will return in Kleberg County on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the J.K. Northway Exposition Center.
5:23 p.m. - Nueces County officials announced 21 COVID cases on Sunday, pushing the pandemic-wide local total to 21,187 COVID patients during the pandemic.
There were no new local COVID deaths on Sunday as the fatality number remains at 440.
The most recent local hospitalization statistics released by the county on Sunday include 2,927 total hospitalizations including 63 currently in the hospital and 26 of those in ICU. A total of 20,367 Nueces County COVID patients have recovered.

4:42 p.m. - Nueces County officials announced 41 new local COVID cases on Saturday. The county now has recorded 21,166 COVID patients during the pandemic. The most recent hospitalization totals released on Saturday include 2,927 COVID patients who have been hospitalized, including 69 currently in the hospital and 23 in ICU. A total of 20,357 local COVID patients have recovered.
4:16 p.m. - Nueces County reported one new COVID-related fatality on Saturday, pushing the local fatality total during the pandemic to 440. The fatality was a male in his 70s.
10/23 updates:
4:51 p.m. - Nueces County officials reported 38 new COVID cases on Friday, pushing the pandemic-wide total to 21,125. County officials reported 2,927 Nueces County residents have been hospitalized for COVID-19 during the pandemic, including 68 of those currently in the hospital and 18 of those in ICU. The county reports that 20,354 COVID patients have recovered.
4:12 p.m. - Nueces County reported one new COVID-related fatality, pushing the local fatality total during the pandemic to 439. The patient was a woman in her 60s.
10/22 updates:
4:47 p.m. - Nueces County reports 29 new COVID-19 cases. The county-wide total is now 20,087.
No new deaths Thursday means the count remains at 438.
20,340 have recovered.
4:17 p.m. - Wednesday, Duval County reports a total of 471 cases since the beginning of the pandemic.
Jim Hogg County reported one more case making their total case number 162.
10/21 updates:
4:42 p.m. - Nueces County reports zero deaths Wednesday leaving the total at 438. They also reported 31 new cases today raising the total to 21,058 with 20,317 recoveries.
3:56 p.m. - The Alice Independent School District has announced that they are suspending in-person instruction and extra-curricular activities due to a spike in COVID-19 cases.
According to a release from Alice superintendent Carl Scarbrough, Ed.D, several students who were recently lab-confirmed to have COVID-19 were present at William Adams Middle School and Alice High School.
"We are working closely with the Campus Administration, Human Resources, COVID Response Team, and our local health authority on this matter," said the release from Scarbrough. "The COVID Response Team has begun a case investigation and will contact any individuals determined to be in close contact with the infected individual. Parents of students, and staff that came into close contact are being notified today."
The district says that contract tracing has revealed that a significant number of students attended a large residential gathering on Oct. 17, which is one of the reasons for suspending in-person instruction between Oct, 22 and Oct, 30.
Sports and extra-curricular activities have also been suspending during the time period allotted.

4:51 p.m. - One new coronavirus related death makes 438 total since the beginning of the pandemic. The patient was a male in his 80's with comorbidities including diabetes and hypertension.
22 new cases reported Tuesday in Nueces county. The total case count is now 21,027, with 20,298 recoveries.
4:06 p.m. - Aransas county is at 341 total coronavirus cases as of Tuesday and San Patricio county is at 1,549.
3:31 p.m. - No change in coronavirus cases or deaths have been reported from Duval County yet Tuesday, their total count remains at 469 cases.
3:30 p.m. - Jim Hogg County reports five new cases, they are now at 161 cases.
10/19 updates
4:57 p.m. - Nueces County reports 12 new positive COVID-19 cases Monday. Three cases are confirmed and nine are probable.
For the county, 60 coronavirus patients are currently in hospitals and 21 are in intensive care.
The county has now had 20,005 total cases since the start of the pandemic. 20,281 of those cases have reportedly recovered.
4:06 p.m. - The Corpus Christi-Nueces County Public Health District reports one COVID-19 related death Monday.
The man was in his 60's with comorbidities including hypertension and diabetes.
The total coronavirus related deaths for the county is now 437.
4:05 p.m. - Brooks County reports 6 new cases. They are now at 341 total cases.
4:05 p.m. - Jim Wells county remains at 1,525 total cases Monday.
3:47 p.m. - 1,549 total cases reported in San Patricio county Monday.
3:48 p.m. - 341 total cases reported in Aransas county Monday.
10/18 updates
4:31 p.m. - Nueces County officials announced one new COVID death and 11 new cases on Sunday. The fatality pushes the county's pandemic-wide fatality count to 436. And the new COVID cases have swelled the county's pandemic-wide COVID to 20,993.
During the pandemic, 2,927 Nueces County COVID patients have been hospitalized, including 62 currently in the hospital and 272 in ICU. A total of 20,274 Nueces County residents have recovered from COVID, the county says.
10/17 updates
4:02 p.m. - Nueces County officials announced 51 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, pushing the county's pandemic-wide total to 20,982. There were no new deaths announced on Saturday, as the county's pandemic-wide fatality total remains at 435.
During the pandemic, 2,927 Nueces County COVID patients have been hospitalized, including 63 currently in the hospital and 27 in ICU. A total of 20,266 Nueces County residents have recovered from COVID.
10/16 updates
5:01 p.m. - Nueces County received notification of two COVID-19 related deaths for today and one from July, pushing the pandemic-wide death total for the county to 434.
The fatalities were two males and one female with ages ranging in their 50s, 80s, and 90s. The comorbidities of the patients included chronic kidney disease and hypertension.
10/15 updates
4:33 p.m. Two Del Mar College students have tested positive for COVID-19.
3:48 p.m. - Refugio County is reporting a total of 303 reported cases, Live Oak County is reporting 435 total, and Brooks County is reporting 335 total.
10 a.m. - CCISD reports there are now 50 student COVID-19 cases across their school district. The schools with the most cases are Miller H.S. (5), Ray H.S. (6), and the Early Childhood Development Center (6). They also report 21 members of their staff across the district have tested positive for the coronavirus. 25 of the student-related COVID-19 cases have recovered.
10/14 updates
4:30 p.m. - Nueces County reports 11 new cases and zero new deaths Wednesday. Six of those cases are confirmed and five are probable.
Currently, there are 58 COVID-19 patients in area hospitals, 26 of which are in intensive care.
The total cumulative county-wide case count is 20,846, with 432 total COVID-19 related deaths.
3:48 p.m. Jim Wells County reported three new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday. It has now had 1,519 confirmed cases. The county also reported that 44 duplicate cases also were removed from its count.
3:14 p.m. - Jim Hogg County reports a total cumulative case count of 155 cases as of Wednesday.
3:12 p.m. - Duval County reports an additional COVID-19 positive case, making it's total cumulative case count 466 as of Wednesday.
11:15 a.m. - Live Oak County now has a total of 434 cases. Out of these cases, 213 of them are FCI inmates and the remaining 221 are citizens.
7:00 a.m. - Texas health officials said the COVID-19 case count topped 800,000 amid a surge Tuesday night.
10/13 updates
4:52 p.m. After originally announcing two COVID-19 related deaths Tuesday, Nueces County officials are now saying there were no deaths in the county Tuesday.
4:45 p.m. Twenty-one new cases were reported by Nueces County officials Tuesday. There have now been 20,835 cases of COVID-19 reported in the county. Sixty-five patients remain hospitalized, and 28 are in intensive care.
4:02 p.m. Nueces County is reporting two new deaths today. The patients were one man, and one woman, whose ages ranged in their 60s and 70s. Their underlying conditions include hypertension and coronary artery disease.
3:32 pm. - Aransas County reports their total positive case numbers as of today is 340.
3:32 p.m. - San Patricio County remains at 1,530 total cases Tuesday.
3:27 p.m. - No new cases reported for Jim Wells county Tuesday.
12:10 p.m. - Texas Department of State Health Services states there are 465 total cases in Duval County.
12:00 p.m. - Jim Hogg County reports they added several new cases. They are at 155 total coronavirus cases Monday evening.

10/12 updates
4:33 p.m. - The Corpus Christi-Nueces County Public Health District had no COVID-19 related deaths reported today from local hospitals.
They did report that they received death certificates for three COVID-19 related deaths from September.
The patients were 3 females with ages ranging between 60 and 100 years old. Their comorbidities included liver disease and cancer.
3:47 p.m. - Jim Wells County reports five new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of cases to 1,559.
3:46 p.m. - Bee County reports 1,822 cases as of Tuesday.
3:45 p.m. - Kleberg County reports 1,028 total cases as of Tuesday.
3:44 p.m. - Live Oak County reports 432 total cases as of Tuesday.
3:42 p.m. - Refugio County officials confirm one new positive COVID-19 case. This makes 311 total cases from the start of the pandemic. Refugio County reports three active cases, 294 recovered patients, and fourteen fatalities.
