YWCA to hold 13th annual Racial Justice Forum

The YWCA of Corpus Christi will hold their 13th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service Racial Justice Forum on Monday, Jan. 21.

 

This year’s theme is “Shall We Dance?”

 

While championing the mission of “Eliminating Racism and Empowering Women,” the YWCA Corpus Christi will invite both panelists and those who attend to engage in thought-provoking conversations that will lead to action.

 

The panel moderator will be Seema Mathur, Journalist and Filmmaker.

 

Panelists include:

 

Dr. Anantha Babbili, Professor, Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi;

Dr. Gloria Bilaye-Benibo, Dean, STEM Academy & Student Services

Cleofus Rodriguez, Jr., Executive Director, United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce

Donald Leavell, Senior Pastor, Corpus Christi Christian Fellowship

Viktoria Igrova Pierce, Change Facilitator, International Implementer of Business & Family Constellations

 

This gathering will be held at the YWCA (4601 Corona Drive) from 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. and a light breakfast will be provided.

 

The event is free and everyone is invited to attend. A suggested $10 donation is appreciated.
