CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Early Sunday morning around 1 a.m. a fire ripped through the roof of a house on the 400 block of Southern Ave. in Corpus Christi.
Firefighters said the house has been vacant for a few years, so nobody was hurt. Firefighters were able to get it under control in less than an hour but the house was severely damaged.
There's no word yet on how the fire started.
