Rollover crash leaves 18-year-old young man dead

DPS investigators say one person was killed following a rollover crash in Nueces County.

The crash happened just around 11:56 p.m. Friday along County Road 48 near County Road 69 in Robstown.

According to a preliminary report from the DPS, a 2008 Ford Mustang was traveling west on County Road 48. The vehicle was carrying five people, ages ranging from 18 to 19-years-old.

The report continues the car, for unknown reasons, left the roadway, hit a culvert, causing the vehicle to roll over multiple times. All occupants inside the vehicle were ejected, with the exception of one passenger the report continued.

The driver of the vehicle, 18-year-old Justin Dillon Franco from Corpus Christi, was pronounced dead at the scene.

DPS investigators say everyone involved in the crash is hospitalized. As of Saturday morning, their medical conditions are unknown.

The crash investigation is still ongoing according to a DPS report.
